Fun on the farm

Last weekend David and I went to Oklahoma and met his parents and sister on the family farm. It was my first time to go and it is really pretty out there! We had a good time enjoying nature, animals, ticks...lots of ticks (I am definitely not a fan of them), and fishing. I would love to go back, just probably not during tick season. :)

Ready to leave for Oklahoma - Dave got us matching t-shirts for the trip. :)
On the road to the farmMaggie was so excited to see all the space that she could run in and almost jumped out of the car.One of the ponds on the farm
The cows. We had not seen any cows since we arrived and later that evening when we were up at the barn I heard a loud 'moo.' So I turned around to find and entire of heard of cows just looking at me. It was pretty funny! Uncle Larry got me some food so that I could feed Pet - yes that is what they named the cow. She is not afraid to get up close and personal when food is involved. :)

You can't see it in this picure very well, but my hands had a ton of slime on them.Maggie was not a fan of the cows.... This was the view from our tent. This is the old homestead. David's great-grandparents lived here and his grandmother was born in this house. Chimney of the homestead.

We had target practice while on the farm. My father-in-law, J.B. and sister-in-law, Christie
Is it time to go home, yet?
