Last month Dave and I went to Sweeny for a weekend of fun at the Brazoria County Fair. I had not been to the fair since I graduated from high school and it was a perfect day to be at a fair, great weather, fun company, and lots of cowboys and cowgirls all decked out. :)
We helped out in the Sweeny Christian School funnel cake booth for the day and I will say that 16 1/2 hours on your feet makes for a long day! I am so glad that we went and making funnel cakes & fried oreos are not hard at all. I was at the window mostly taking orders, running into old friends from school, and hearing funny stories. I tried to take pictures throughout the day but we stayed busy, so here is what I was able to get on my camera.

Have you ever wondered how to make funnel cake batter? Pour all your ingredients in the bucket and mix it with a drill. My dad making the batter.....

He is having so much fun.....

Yummy. Makes you want a funnel cake, right?

The end of the night. So tired.

My mom's birthday was that Sunday and since it was after midnight everyone working that night sang her a Happy Birthday tune. :) I love this picture!
