South Llano State Park

This is past weekend several of us from church took a camping trip to South Llano State Park, http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/south_llano_river/. This was a great location for camping. Since it was just a weekend trip, we spent all day Saturday on the river kayaking. It was shallow in some parts but not to bad that we had to get out and carry our kayaks. I managed to only fall out of my kayak one time and it was on the best rapids (I thought) so I was bummed that I didn't actually get to ride it all the way down. Oh well! We had a great time of fellowship and fun. Saw lots of bugs, birds, deer, cotton tail rabbits, jack rabbits, & turkeys.

These Katydid's (?) were all over the place. :)We are not exactly sure what this was....We had a visitor our first morning there :)Hamburgers & homemade peach cobbler were dinner after a long day of kayaking. Yum!
